About the cafe

A Spitalfields caff worth the detour

Nilly's Cafe sits on Bell Lane in the tangle of streets between Old Spitalfields Market and Petticoat Lane, a minute's walk from Liverpool Street and Aldgate. Behind the black-and-red shopfront it's all exposed brick, reclaimed timber and red chairs.

It's the sort of place you go for a proper breakfast: generous plates, made-to-order eggs, good coffee and a welcome that regulars and first-timers both remember. Open every day from early, whether you're heading to work or wandering the markets.
